Google Owns a Search Engine Optimisation Company
If you own or work with a search engine optimization company, or even if you're just hoping to better your search engine placement, then you are probably aware of the recent acquisition frenzy that took hold among the major search engines. Google paid $3.1 billion for DoubleClick, Microsoft paid $6 billion for Aquantive, and Yahoo paid $680 million for the 80 percent of Right Media that it did not already own and another $300 million for BlueLithium. The companies purchased are all intended to help widen the advertising range of each of the engines in question, and to take advantage of increasingly sophisticated behavioral-based ad-serving technologies that the acquired companies owned.
What many people failed to realize was that when Google purchased DoubleClick, it now was also the owner of a very large search engine optimization company called Performics, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of DoubleClick.
This fact is of course raising some eyebrows in the industry. Google has consistently maintained that there is no way that people can pay for better search engine placement in the organic index, a stance that the company still claims applies despite this recent purchase. In fact, a portion of Google's published guidelines about SEO says, "While Google doesn't have relationships with any SEOs and doesn't offer recommendations..." In another portion, Google says "While Google never sells better ranking in our search results..." However, anyone who hires search engine optimization company Performics is of course now paying Google for better search engine placement. It seems like a pretty black and white issue, but Google would obviously prefer that it was kept delightfully blurry.

Matt Cutts Confirms Google PageRank Update
Most of people were looking for page rank updation by Google since last week of July this year. This was obvious because generally Google PR updation takes place after every 3-4 months and the last PR update held in April of this month.
In the first week of August people have seen a little fluctuation in PR and number of backlinks of their sites in some places. But this fluctuation was just happened with fewer sites so people were confused about that PR updation has been completed or still have to complete.
Recently last week in October, people again have seen a great fluctuation in PR of their sites and also in their number of backlinks and hope that PR updation has been finished for this time now. and yes people were right as Matt Cutts confirmed Page Rank Update for this time in an email to Search Engine Journal on 29th October.
Matt Cutts emailed Search Engine Journal last night to let us know that in fact, the partial Google ‘Toolbar’ PageRank update which happened last week was a result of Google’s campaign against paid linking and advertisement links which influence PageRank.

TOP 10 COMMON SEO MISTAKES
Webmasters spend a lot of time and efforts on optimizing a website. They try different strategies to get higher search engine rankings for their website, but some of them fail to get desired results just because of some mistakes. In this article I have listed some common mistakes which should be avoided while optimizing a website as they may have adverse effect on your Search engine rankings:
1. Keyword Stuffing: Putting the same keyword again and again or using hundred different spellings or tenses of the same keywords in your keyword meta tag is known as keyword stuffing and considered as spam by search engines. You must avoid it as it may harm your search engine rankings.
2. Duplicate Content: Make sure to have some unique and informative content for users on all web pages, it must be related to your business. Having the same content on your different pages of website must be avoided as it may have an adverse effect on your search engine rankings.
3. ALT Tags: Do not forget to add ALT tag while using images in your website. You can use your targeted keywords also in ALT tags. It makes your website accessible for search engine spiders.
4. Framesets: Avoid using framesets as frames-based pages behave differently from standard Web pages, affecting essential Web functions like printing and navigation. search engines cannot index framesets.
5. Navigation and internal linking: Proper navigation and internal linking is also matters a lot. Navigation menu should be easily accessible by users. Make sure that the anchor text linking to pages within your own website is relevant to the target page.
6. Anchor Text of Inbound links: Having a lot of inbound links is not enough but the anchor text pointing to these links is also very important. The anchor text should be targeted to your main keywords and the web page they point to should have those keywords.
7. Redirects: Redirect is used to re-route users from one URL to another and search engines consider it as you are trying to trick them. You must avoid it, if necessary then use only ‘301 redirect’ which is the safest method to redirect.
8. Cloaking: Cloaking is a technique used by some webmasters to display different pages to the search engine spiders than the ones normal visitors see. You should always avoid any form of cloaking as it strongly forbidden by most major search engines now.
9. Over Optimisation: Over optimization shows that your site has been designed for search engines and not for users. It may drop your search engine rankings as search engines are now able to detect over optimized sites so you must avoid over optimization.
10. Impatience: Search engine optimization requires a lot of patience. You must wait for few months for results after optimizing your website. Have a little patience and you will get your desired results if you properly optimized your website using ethical SEO techniques.

About Google’s Supplemental Index :How to avoid it?
After completing a website the next step is to submit it to major search engines like google to be indexed. If you have created a well designed website by using ethical SEO methods then after a little time most of your web pages are indexed by google but still sometimes in search results or while checking your indexed pages using:
site: www.mydomain.com
You see that some of your pages shown written supplemental results at right side of the URL of that particular page, means that pages are in supplemental index of google and has not been in Google’s main index.
It makes a lot of confusion among website owners and they think what’s wrong with their web pages and why these particular pages are not in google’s main index. Even few webmaster think that perhaps these pages are banned or penalized by google and they don’t know what to do to correct it?
Basically google have two types of index, one is main index and other is known as supplemental index. When you submit or add your website to google, it sends googlebot to index your web pages. Googlebot usually index all webpages of your website and arrange them into Main Index or Supplemental Index based on their importance. So do not think that your webpages are banned or penalized by google if they are showing in supplemental results.
Google’s Adam Lasnik has also stated that when your site has pages in a supplemental index, it does not indicate that your site has been penalized. Even though this is probably correct, the effects are the same as being penalized.
Below are some important tips to get it out of supplemental index:
1. Add Unique Content: Content is a key area of Search Engine Optimization. Keep in mind to add only unique content on each page. Eliminate the duplicate content from your webpages, if you have as pages with duplicate content are main cause to land in the supplemental index.
2. Add unique meta tags: Add unique meta data for each page on your website. Always make sure to have unique title tags, description tags, keyword tags, etc.
3. Improve website architecture and internal linking: If your pages have complex navigation than improve it by making it easier to understand to googlebot as well as user. Add a sitemap and link it to all of your webpages. Be sure to link to the sitemap from your homepage so that googlebot can find it all links easily.
4. Add some more quality links: Try to get some more quality links for your pages as link popularity is all about trust now days. Just a few quality links from higher Page rank, a little older and already ranked domains may help a lot in convincing google a newer website deserve to be trusted.
5. Have a little patience: If you have checked and solve the problem and everything is all right then still it may take a while for many of the supplemental to go away. Just have a little patience and most probably your all webpages will be no more in supplemental index.
I think above tips will be help you to understand about google’s supplemental indexing. If you have any comments or suggestions feel free to share with me….at Latest SEO Tips and Strategies

Top 5 Tips to avoid Google Ban
It is common problem among website owners that sometimes their website dropped from Google index and they do not find their website entering the target keywords in the search box . The reason is simple, that website doesn’t follow ethical SEO Tips for optimizing website for Google. It happened to one of my friend’s sites in past. Through that experience I learned a lot about Google’s algorithm of indexing or ranking a website and giving it higher priority for targeted keywords. Like all if you want to avoid google ban for your site than you must follow the tips given below:
1. Make your site Accessible. This means that your site must have very good uptime. Always use reliable hosting service with good uptime (no less than 99%) and fast response time. Also ad a Robots.txt file in your root url. Your website may be drod by google SERPs if Googlebot comes to your site and cannot access it.
- Add only unique and relevant content to your website. Add only unique content to your website. It must be informative and interesting to your visitors and relevant to your website theme. Write content for real humans and not for search engines. If you add a duplicate content on your site, copied from somewhere else, there will be more chances to be excluded from Google’s index.
- Avoid spam to promote your website. Avoid spam as this mistake may causes of ban your website from Google index. In this way never use doorways, hidden text, auto-generated page, keyword stuffing, cloaking or any other type of unethical techniques.
- Building link popularity for your website. Quality matters a lot and not every inbound link is always good. Take care of websites linking to you. Avoid to participate in link farms or FFA pages. Try to get links from related theme websites only. Avoid spamming forums, guest books, blogs or comments. Outgoing links are also very important. Pay attention on what sites do you link from your website. Avoid link to sites that use spam techniques, because this may harm your site and your site may be banned from Google.
- Add A Sitemap. Provide a way for Googlebot to index the whole pages of your website. Create sitemap and link it to all pages of your website as sitemap helps Googlebot to easily access your all web pages. If you are using JavaScript or Flash links - duplicate them with plain text.
I think above tips will be useful to you all and by using these tips your site will never be banned from google....if you have any suggestion or comment fell free to share with me.....

Google ranking tips from a Google’s Matt Cutts
Last week, Google's Matt Cutts had a Q&A on the SearchMarketingExpo in
Paid links:
Google considers buying links to be outside of their guidelines and they might take strong actions against that in the future. Matt Cutts indicated that "Google might take action" if webmasters buy links anyway.
Outbound links:
Matt Cutts said that links to other websites are good for users, and therefore good for search engines.
The impact of spammy domains that are owned by the same person:
Matt Cutts indicated that a webmaster who owns many spammy websites might get trouble with his other websites.
Google's supplemental index:
Pages in Google's supplemental results are parsed differently than pages in the regular index. Pages from the supplemental results can get into the main index. According to Matt Cutts, phrase relationships are handled a bit differently for supplemental pages. He didn't reveal details.
Webmasters shouldn't be worried if they have pages in the supplemental index. Matt Cutts has hundreds of his own pages in the supplemental index.
Catalog pages and online store search result pages:
Google tries to avoid online store result pages in its own result pages. If an online store search result page looks like search results that are available anywhere else, then Google doesn't like the page. It's much better if it has unique content.
Category pages in online shops work better according to Matt Cutts. However, a product should only be listed in the best-applicable category instead of being listed in 30 different locations.
Matt Cutts recommended to analyze the web pages that currently have high rankings because webmasters can learn from them.

Effective Ways to Promote Your Website For Free Online
After creating a website, promotion of the website is obviously the next step. Here I am going to
suggest some points by that you can effectively promote your website online free of cost totally free.
1. Write Articles or Free reports for other webmasters to publish.
Another effective way to promote your website is to write articles or free reports for ezine publishers and webmasters to use. If you write good content, your articles will be published and many readers who like your article will go on to visit your website. You can also write simple research based articles and allow others to publish these freely on their websites. The traffic from these free articles will come from your byline. The ‘byline’ is the short paragraph that goes at the bottom of each article and describes who the author is and what they do. The good thing about writing this type of content is that it establishes you as the expert and therefore increases the chances of people visiting your website and signing up for whatever you’re offering.
2. Generate Targeted Traffic from Online Discussion Forums.
Online discussion forums provide an excellent way to promote your website without paying any money. Nowadays, you don’t even have to lurk around before you begin to post. Just browse the messages and you can start posting. There are basically three different ways to participate. You can ask questions, respond to requests for help or just post any useful
3. Do Joint Ventures with List owners and Webmasters.
If done correctly, joint venture marketing is one of the most effective ways to promote a product or service. A Joint venture can take many forms but it’s generally an agreement for some kind of partnership between one or more parties working together to their mutual benefit. It allows you to leverage highly targeted lists or traffic with no risk. Joint ventures are excellent for new product or service announcements because they allow you to reach a wide customer base very quickly.
4. Exchange Links with Other Webmasters.
This is another effective strategy for generating targeted traffic to your website for free. It involves contacting other webmasters for a possible link exchange partnership. All you have to do is locate websites that are related to yours but that are not in direct competition and contact the webmaster to swap links. There are various free ebooks and articles available online on this topic.
5. Leverage the power of your email Signature.
One of the quickest and effective ways to start driving traffic to your website at no extra cost is to add your ad or website address to your email signature. This way, every time you send an email, you’ll be advertising your website. You can take this a step further by asking your friends and associates to put your website address in their email signature. Most people don’t use their email signature facility in their email program so you can easily get 10 or more people to agree to do this. If you and your 10 friends each send out 10 emails per day, that’s 110 exposures of your ad every day without any extra effort on your part.
I think above points will be useful for you. Please feel free to share your comments....

WEB PAGE ELEMENTS : lead to high Google rankings?
The German company Sistrix analyzed the web page elements of top ranked pages in Google to find out which elements lead to high Google rankings. They analyzed 10,000 random keywords, and for every keyword, they analyzed the top 100 Google search results.
Recently Sistrix analyzed the influence of the following web page elements: web page title, web page body, headline tags, bold and strong tags, image file names, images alt text, domain name, path, parameters, file size, inbound links and Page Rank.
As per analysis following web page elements lead to high Google rankings?
- Keywords in the title tag seem to be important for high rankings on Google. It is also important that the targeted keywords are mentioned in the body tag, although the title tag seems to be more important.
- Keywords in H2-H6 headline tags seem to have an influence on the rankings while keywords in H1 headline tags don't seem to have an effect.
- Using keywords in bold or strong tags seems to have a slight effect on the top rankings. Web pages that used the keywords in image file names often had higher rankings. The same seems to be true for keywords in image alt attributes.
- Websites that use the targeted keyword in the domain name often had high rankings. It might be that these sites get many inbound links with the domain name as the link text.
- Keywords in the file path don't seem to have a positive effect on the Google rankings of the analyzed web sites. Web pages that use very few parameters in the URL (?id=123, etc.) or no parameters at all tend to get higher rankings than URLs that contain many parameters.
- The file size doesn't seem to influence the ranking of a web page on Google although smaller sites tend to have slightly higher rankings.
- It's no surprise that the number of inbound links and the PageRank had a large influence on the page rankings on Google. The top result on Google has usually about four times as many links as result number 11.

Important Factors To Consider About Search Engine Spiders/ Robots
What does Search Engines See on your website
Search Engine Optimization refers to the process involved in making improvements and changes to webpages so that they conform to the SEARCH CRITERIA utilized by search engines to rank and position listings. It is one of the most effective website promotion (Levels of Search Engine Promotion) techniques. Understanding the basic structure of how search engines index and retrieve documents is paramount to Search Engine Optimization success.
Important Factors To Consider About Search Engine Spiders/ Robots
'Spiders' are used by search engines to locate, index, rank, and list their findings. Here's a few things to keep in mind about them:
• Most indexing spiders can only read text
• Depending on the format, they have great difficulty with dynamic, asp, Cold Fusion, Flash, multiple redirects, tables and code such as Java Script. If it's not text based or they can't access the text, spiders won't see it
• They determine ranking based on where you place your prime "keyword phrases", i.e. the terms used to conduct a search
• They take into consideration criteria such as keyword frequency, prominence, weight and proximity, plus keyword placement within the HTML
• They like "content rich" or thematic text (sufficient enough to support the primary keyword phrase) about your products/ services and use this to determine how relevant the page is to a searcher's request
Search Engine Friendly Websites
Search Engine Optimization involves making websites friendly to 'what the spiders see.' There are many factors to consider when optimizing a website, some of which are:
• Head, title, and meta tags (include descriptions, keywords, and copyright info)
• Incorporating body text that supports targeted keywords
• Converting dynamic web pages (asp, jsp) to allow for reading by search engine robots/ spiders
• Reducing source code without compromising website functionality
• Improving/ fixing html code, and broken links and tags
• Ensuring sufficient keyword concentration and placement on a page
• Rewriting or copywriting to ensure the content supports the keyword phrases
Other variables include when and where customers/ visitors should enter your website and what is the best way to present them with the information they seek .
Search Engine Optimization is a very important component of Internet Marketing and is instrumental in the success of a website. Make sure that you find experienced Website Promotion/ Search Engine Optimization professionals to do the work for you. Their knowledge and understanding should be able to get into the top-20 rankings with the major search engines.

Pros and Cons of SEO & PPC
Among a lot of people there's always different opinion to promote or markt their online business. Often people go for PPC because they want early results to get but some believe on SEO however it requires lot of patience and hard work.
SEO and PPC both have their own benefits.
Here we discuss about what are the similarities, advantages and drawbacks or you can say "PROS and CONS" of Search Engine Optimization(SEO) and Pay Per Click(PPC) advertising..
SIMILARITY: PPC and SEO
Both SEO and PPC provide targeted and motivated visitors… people who are actively searching for products or services you offer.
Both help to maximize a website’s exposure on the Internet. Also Enhance corporate sales and marketing efforts… leading to improved profits.
Both are good and effective for brand awareness, revenue generation and lead prospecting.
Both are capable enough to turn a website from being a business expense to a business asset.
In their simplest and purest forms; SEO is about optimizing and lucking into rankings… PPC is about controlling and paying for rankings
PROS & CONS: SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION(SEO)
SEO Pros:
Traffic through organic search engine results is almost free if the up-front work has been done.
Long-term costs can be lower than PPC.
After optimizing your website you can use your money for different things and the optimized site will still run.
Good ROI and is relatively inexpensive when compared to other forms of advertising… both online and offline.
A larger number of visitors and search result clickers is not a problem.
People trust SEO rankings more than PPC rankings… more than twice as many people will click on an organic listing than a PPC listing.
SEO Cons:
Not guaranteed results… be very wary of hardly any company that guarantees top rankings.
Time consuming, higher start-up costs and longer timeframe… approx. 3-6 months to start seeing results.
Rankings are not stable… top rankings can come and go based on various of factors that are beyond your control.
Requires on-going maintenance to ensure website remains relevant to search engine algorithm changes.
Many changes may have to be made to the site itself to make it search engine friendly.
Changes may have to be made to the Web Host server(s).
Good SEO costs money… you get what you pay for.
Geographic targeting is more difficult than with PPC.
To the search engines, ‘content is king’… websites need to have good, unique content.
Content written to target keywords isn’t usually the most compelling or the easiest to read from a human perspective.
You may not know whether your SEO company is using ethical or unethical techniques… unless they are certified.
Competition is fierce and some companies use unethical practices to attain top rankings.
Un-doing what is already done can be difficult… especially if your site has already been penalized in the past.
Some keywords are just too competitive to be even worth going after… unless you have a large budget.
PROS & CONS: PAY PER CLICK(PPC)
PPC Pros:
Instant results… top rankings can be achieved in a matter of hours or days --not months.
Very little website changes required.
You can target as many keywords as you want.
Control… you can control/ change almost all aspects of the campaign.
Costs are only incurred when someone clicks on your ad.
Results can be tracked and measured precisely… improving ROI.
Permits geographic targeting… pick your country, region, state, city, or town.
Permits running of ads at different times… 24x7, morning, afternoon, evening, night.
Will direct users to the exact page on your site you want them to visit.
Allows for testing of landing pages and conversion rates.
Immediacy… get instantaneous, real-time feedback on changes/ adjustments.
Perfect for time limited offers such as holiday sales
Ideal way to ‘test’ whether online marketing is right for your business.
Must rank for a particular keyword? If you have the budget, you can rank for it.
PPC Cons:
Rankings disappear as soon as you stop paying.
Can be expensive in the long term.
Be wary of ‘bidding wars’… costs can quickly spiral out of control.
Susceptible to ‘click fraud’… people/ competitors clicking on your ads to drive up costs.
Keywords are initially reviewed and approved/ disapproved by the search engines.
The cost for keywords is going up.
Search engines don’t care how much you value a keyword… if it doesn’t generate enough traffic, they will disable it.
Your rankings can be affected by the number of ‘click-throughs’ your ad generates… so even though you ‘bid’ for the number two position, someone else may get that spot.
Rankings are viewed by people as being a form of ‘advertising’… some users consider this a plus, others a negative.
Most people prefer to click on‘natural/ organic’ (i.e. SEO) results rather than PPC ads.

What's really good for your business SEO or PPC
From Fortune 500 corporations to sole proprietorships, more and more companies are starting to realize the power of the Internet for brand awareness, client retention, lead prospecting, and revenue generation.
This has lead to huge interest in, and demand for, the two most-effective SEM strategies:
Pay Per Click (PPC) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
PPC is the process of bringing visitors to a website by paying a ‘click-through’ fee for each click. This is accomplished by ‘bidding’ on keywords that are relevant to the business. Results are usually displayed in the ‘sponsored’ or ‘featured’ areas with the highest bidder getting the number one ranking.
SEO is the process of making a website more search engine ‘friendly’ to help it rank higher. Improvements are made to the site content, internal and external linking structure, server configuration, and Meta Tags. Search engine ‘spiders’ visit the site and attempt to classify what it is about. When a search is conducted, the website is compared to other websites for relevancy to the topic being searched for. Results are displayed in the ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ areas in order of most-to-least relevant.
Which one is best? That depends entirely on your business requirements and budget constraints. Don’t let anyone tell you that one is better than the other… they both have their advantages and disadvantages and each is geared towards meeting certain needs and wants.
just have a little patience for more info about pros n cons of seo and ppc...
i will describe it in my coming article...keep reading and enjoy....n plz send your comments to me.

STRATEGIES TO LINK POPULARITY FOR BRAND NEW WEBSITES'.
Hi to all,
Here I am going to tell about 'STRATEGIES TO LINK POPULARITY FOR BRAND NEW WEBSITES'.
As link popularity is the major factor for success on the Internetand if you have a better link popularity then you will get alot traffic to your web site
by bringing high ranking on search engines. It is quite difficult task for a new site to build link popularity which has just born here we will discuss what
strategy a new site should adopt to boost link popularity. First of all let's expalin the meaning of link, link popularity and link exchange.
1. What is Link and Link Popularity?
The link (hyperlink, or Web link) is a connection from one web resource to another. Internet begins with the hyperlink and a person go from one page to another page by clicking link. Links are the buttons and underlined text on web pages that take you to other pages on click.
2. What is Link Popularity?
Link Popularity means how much you are known on the internet which can be measured how many sites or web pages linked to you. Link popularity is a measure of both the quantity and quality of sites that link to your site. Link Popularity is the number of quality hyperlinks pointed to your website.
3. What is Link Exchange?
In Link Exchange basically, we exchange links - you add my link to your website and I will add your link to mine. It is a barter system give link and in return get link .By exchanging links, with theme based sites or authority sites you can increase your websites link popularity and which will results into increase of your website search engine rankings.
4. What are new site link exchange problems?
For new sites it is quite difficult to get linked with other sites. Even the google takes the site for indexing if it has got few inbound links from other websites. Google says "The best way to ensure Google finds your site is for your page to be linked from lots of pages on other sites..."
In one of the reason for site not listed Google has explained:
"If we have not picked up your site and it has been several months, then it is likely that our spiders are not able to find your site. If you increase the links pointing to the page, Google will likely find your site in the future. "
It is clear that your site will not be listed on Google quickly. Search Engines usually takes news sites very fast if you are linked by other popular related web sites. New site will also not get reciprocal link from other sites because of non popularity or 0 PR (Google Page Rank).
Link building strategy for new WEBSITES-
Now what strategy should new sites adopt to get started on the Web? Here are the few one, which will work.
Get Listed on Free Top Web directory-
Try to get listed on open directory project DMOZ and also submit your site to Yahoo. Be sure to follow their guidelines for listing. The important free directories in addition to dmoz are:
http://www.dmoz.org/
http://dir.yahoo.com/
Get Links for Your Associates
Try to get link from your associated or friends web sites. If you are in business you can get link from your dealers or business associates. It will also help you in getting theme bases links. In initial stage you can take link from your friends and relative web pages or site although they may not be theme based but at least search engine like Google will find your link and index you.
Free Site Submission Tools
There are lot free site submit tool are available on the Internet. Use them to get listing as for the new site owner it is difficult to find the important search engines. Be careful and do not submit many time to same search engines as they may consider repetive submission it Spam. Further try to keep away from FFA pages as they are treated as 'link farms' by search engines and listing is penalized.
Join Discussion Forum
The Discussion form is another media to get inbound links. Join the Message Board which is related to the theme of your site and if you are expert in your field you can reply the many threads. Be sure to include your URL in your signature and also anchor text to be linked with URL should be your site Keyword. If the message board allows it, you can even include a short promotional blurb about your site at the end of your posts. Even if you do not post try to add your url in profile and it is also an inbound link and is important if from your theme based Forum. Try to add your details i.e city, country name, interest and occupation in profile as it will make your theme based pages where all contents are related to you.
Email based discussion-
Email based discussion lists, which are archived on the web in static HTML pages can also be used to boost the link popularity of your site in a similar manner. In this case, the signature file that you use with your email program should contain the URL for your web site.
Reciprocal links request low page rank sites-
The New site faces difficulty in exchanging link with high Page Rank Sites. It is better to start exchanging link with sites which are related to your topic or theme of your site even they may have low Page Rank. You will see that there page rank will increase with the time and you will gain.
Link Popularity through Awards-
Try to join the award sites. There are many sites which open contest or award of good site design or good content site you can apply for it. If you get a chance to which your brief site content will be published on Award site, which will increase your link popularity.
Major Industry Associations-
There are many industrial association sites which publish free listing of there sites. Just find the association site relating to your products or theme of site and get listed.
Signing of Testimonial-
Lot of website ask to write testimonial and also add your URL. Just study the site and write brief genuine testimonials about the website. If you will be able to write good, genuine testimonial you are sure to get listed there with your comment. Do not sign guest books with vague comment just to get link.
Discount Offer-
You can offer a discount or concession on your good, products and services to anyone who put a small banner or text link back to your site.
Affiliate program-
Set up an affiliate program, which is an excellent way to boost link popularity. Your affiliate members will put there affiliate code on there sites which will contain your URL and your will get theme based inbound link.
It is always said better beginning is half done. So if new site adopt the above method to increase link popularity they are sure to build good page rank in the beginning and latter on all higher page rank web sites will be ready to exchange link with you and will result into building of solid link popularity for your site. You should not expect results (Increase in search engine ranking) so fast. Wait for at least 3 month till search engines index you all full site pages.
I hope these tips are very useful to all.....
plz add you comments about it.

How To Avoid Google Sandbox
By just a little planning you can get your website to the top faster avoiding google sandbox
Here's a tip on how to beat the Google sandbox.
Sorry, this isn't going to help those of you who just launched your new site, but for those who are willing to plan ahead, it will help your next site. Most of you already know that Google initiated a filter last March that essentially dampens the ability for new sites to rank well for popular terms. The filter has been called the "sandbox".
So, how do you get around this? Don't wait until you are ready to launch a new site to launch a new site. If you are even THINKING about a new project, buy the domain NOW. Get it hosted on an inexpensive ISP and write some content for it. 5 - 10 pages will do. Then link to it from your current site (or 2 or 3 if you have them) to get it indexed and to start building PR. Then, add a new page of content every month or so. And submit it to a few directories (the free one's that will take small, unpolished sites - there's lots out there) every month to simulate slow, natural backlink growth.
By the time you are ready to actually launch your new site, you will have an "aged" domain that has been indexed and building link popularity for some time. It will greatly reduce or even eliminate your stay in the sandbox.
What's Google Sandbox and how to avoid it...
In general, brand-new web sites with new domain names need about 6 - 8 months to get top rankings on Google. The usual process is that Google indexes the new web site, lists it for some less important queries and then the web pages drop from the search engine result pages for several months. Although other search engines work fine, Google doesn't list the web site, sometimes not even for the company name. If you have a brand-new web site, don't worry about this behavior. You are not doing anything wrong. Google seems to delay the inclusion of new web sites. This phenomenon is called the Google sandbox. Why does Google delay the inclusion of brand-new web sites? It seems that Google delays the inclusion of brand-new web sites to encourage webmasters to build content instead of building mini-networks. Many webmasters try to artificially inflate the link popularity of their web site by creating a network of small web sites with different URLs that all link to each other. Many of these web sites have no purpose other than linking to the main web site. By delaying the ranking of new web sites, this mini-network strategy doesn't offer a quick jump to the top anymore. The delay might encourage webmasters to focus on the content of their main web site instead of building useless mini sites. Please go through my next post to know 'How to avoid google sandbox effect'

Just imagine! what could google do if they were evil?
People probably know Google's informal company motto "Don't be evil". Google is a very successful company that knows a lot about its advertisers and users. In addition, Google has a market share that would allow them do certain things.
What could Google do if they were evil? Note that the following is only hypothetical:
Google could favor its own products and websites
Google could prefer websites from its own services in the search results: websites that run Google ads, websites that use Google's payment service, Blogger sites, Google Base, etc.
All websites that pay Google in some way could be preferred in the search results while others are downranked.
Google could punish websites at discretion
If Google doesn't like your website or if someone tells Google that you're a bad boy then Google can ban your website from the search results without any reason given.
You can find a lot of articles on the web that discuss the problem that Google removed web sites from the index. The main problem with these removals is that Google usually doesn't explain why a web site has been removed so that webmasters often are complete and utterly at Google's mercy.
Google could use your data against you
Most Google products now use a single account. That means that Google knows a lot about you if you use their services: your address, your credit card number, the web pages that you visit, the web sites that you own, how much you earn with your web site (if you use Google's analytics product), etc.
Google could sell this information to other companies, the government or any other person that pays for it. If one of your web sites causes a problem with Google, they could ban all of your sites. There's a lot that Google could do with the information they have about you.
Google could force webmasters to advertise
Google could decide that web sites that advertise on Google get better rankings in the search results. They could also decide that companies with big wallets don't get high rankings so that they have to advertise more.
Companies that use Google's analytics software to track their sales tell Google how much they earn. That allows Google to raise the advertising costs based on the revenue of the company.
Google could do most of the things above and it would be very difficult to prove that they actually do it because Google doesn't reveal the ranking algorithm. Maybe you know the saying "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Let's hope that Google can resist the temptations of their power.

GOOGLE LATEST:All about Google's new PPA advertising product - View Article
Google is testing a new advertising system that allows businesses to advertise on a cost per action basis. You can find Google's own announcement here.
How does Google's new product work?
Until now, Google has primarily sold pay-per-click (PPC) ads, so-called AdWords ads: advertisers pay when someone on Google or a Google partner site clicks on the ad.
Google AdWords has one big advantage and one big disadvantage: You only pay for clicks of potential customers, but you risk paying a lot of money for nothing because of click fraud.
There has been a lot of debate around click fraud because Google has a short term financial incentive to promote it. Google's new advertising product is "pay per action" (PPA). You don't pay per click anymore but you pay when a customer takes further action, such as requesting a catalog, signing up for a newsletter or buying a product.
PPA advertising is meant to mitigate the risks of click fraud.
How can Google track the action?
If you use Google's PPA advertising product, then you must use Google's conversion tracking code in the HTML code of your web pages.
Of course, the advertiser has an incentive not to confirm the action, but cheating does not make sense. Like PPC ads, PPA ads will likely be ranked by profitability to Google.
What are the consequences for the market?
Google will be able to better maximize revenues on its advertising network, and it also should allay the concerns over click fraud.
Google's new PPA program is in direct competition to affiliate marketing networks such as Commission Junction and LinkShare. Publishers could leave those affiliate marketing networks and concentrate on Google's PPA program.
Yahoo und Microsoft will certainly offer similar PPA programs in the future. The current players on the PPA market Snap and Turn now face heavy competition.
What are the consequences for you?
If you already track the return on investment (ROI) on your PPC ads, then you won't be affected much. If you don't track the ROI yet, take a look at ROI tracking tools such as AxROI which can save you a lot of advertising money.
If you are a smaller advertiser, then PPA advertising could mean that you will pay less for better results in the future, and that you will never worry about click fraud again.
Note that Google's pay per action program is currently in beta test. This means that there are some limitations:
- participation is by invitation only, you must fill out a web form to request participating in the program
- the PPA program is currently only available to US customers
- ads are limited to Google's content network of partner sites (Google AdSense)
The importance of robots.txt
Although the robots.txt file is a very important file if you want to have a good ranking on search engines, many Web sites don't offer this file.
If your Web site doesn't have a robots.txt file yet, read on to learn how to create one. If you already have a robots.txt file, read our tips to make sure that it doesn't contain errors.
What is robots.txt?
When a search engine crawler comes to your site, it will look for a special file on your site. That file is called robots.txt and it tells the search engine spider, which Web pages of your site should be indexed and which Web pages should be ignored.
The robots.txt file is a simple text file (no HTML), that must be placed in your root directory, for example:
http://www.yourwebsite.com/robots.txt
How do I create a robots.txt file?
As mentioned above, the robots.txt file is a simple text file. Open a simple text editor to create it. The content of a robots.txt file consists of so-called "records".
A record contains the information for a special search engine. Each record consists of two fields: the user agent line and one or more Disallow lines. Here's an example:
User-agent: googlebot
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
This robots.txt file would allow the "googlebot", which is the search engine spider of Google, to retrieve every page from your site except for files from the "cgi-bin" directory. All files in the "cgi-bin" directory will be
ignored by googlebot.
The Disallow command works like a wildcard. If you enter
User-agent: googlebot
Disallow: /support
both "/support-desk/index.html" and "/support/index.html" as well as all other files in the "support" directory would not be indexed by search engines.
If you leave the Disallow line blank, you're telling the search engine that all files may be indexed. In any case, you must enter a Disallow line for every User-agent record.
If you want to give all search engine spiders the same rights, use the following robots.txt content:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Where can I find user agent names?
You can find user agent names in your log files by checking for requests to robots.txt. Most often, all search engine spiders should be given the same rights. in that case, use "User-agent: *" as mentioned above.
Things you should avoid
If you don't format your robots.txt file properly, some or all files of your Web site might not get indexed by search engines. To avoid this, do the following:
- Don't use comments in the robots.txt file
Although comments are allowed in a robots.txt file, they might confuse some search engine spiders.
"Disallow: support # Don't index the support directory" might be misinterepreted as "Disallow: support#Don't index the support directory". - Don't use white space at the beginning of a line. For example, don't write
placeholder User-agent: *
place Disallow: /support
but
User-agent: *
Disallow: /support - Don't change the order of the commands. If your robots.txt file should work, don't mix it up. Don't write
Disallow: /support
User-agent: *
but
User-agent: *
Disallow: /support - Don't use more than one directory in a Disallow line. Do not use the following
User-agent: *
Disallow: /support /cgi-bin/ /images/
Search engine spiders cannot understand that format. The correct syntax for this is
User-agent: *
Disallow: /support
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /images/ - Be sure to use the right case. The file names on your server are case sensitve. If the name of your directory is "Support", don't write "support" in the robots.txt file.
- Don't list all files. If you want a search engine spider to ignore all files in a special directory, you don't have to list all files. For example:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /support/orders.html
Disallow: /support/technical.html
Disallow: /support/helpdesk.html
Disallow: /support/index.html
You can replace this with
User-agent: *
Disallow: /support - There is no "Allow" command
Don't use an "Allow" command in your robots.txt file. Only mention files and directories that you don't want to be indexed. All other files will be indexed automatically if they are linked on your site.
Tips and tricks:
1. How to allow all search engine spiders to index all files
Use the following content for your robots.txt file if you want to allow all search engine spiders to index all files of your Web site:
User-agent: *
Disallow:
2. How to disallow all spiders to index any file
If you don't want search engines to index any file of your Web site, use the following:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /
3. Where to find more complex examples.
If you want to see more complex examples, of robots.txt files, view the robots.txt files of big Web sites:
Your Web site should have a proper robots.txt file if you want to have good rankings on search engines. Only if search engines know what to do with your pages, they can give you a good ranking.
